BUG??

I've left the tech area and get into the mountains and then my (down) key doesn't respond and nor can I stop walking until I hit an area that blocks me from walking (running) further. I've had to exit the game, but reentering didn't solve the problem! Is there a patch or can anyone suggest what I should do? Thanks

Heres what happens to me. This may be your computer not the game. Sometimes my computer gets all screwy and just keeps going a certain direction like the arrow key is stuck but its not. Just restart your computer and it should work fine. If it dosent than its a glitch but if it does its your computer. This happens to me frequently and is very annoying but I dont know how to fix it. Either way hope this helps!

Same happens to me sometimes.
The solution which I found was- press the arrow key to the direction where your character is moving. For example, if your character continues moving to the north even when you press other keys, then press the up arrow key and then press the down arrow key (the opposite direction). It will become all right. I think it happens because of pressing that key too many times or holding it down for a long time. So it gets kind of stuck and the character continues walking in that direction. So just press the key in whose direction the character is walking and it should become all right.

I went back into the game to try your possible solutions and all was working again without trying anything! Appreciate your suggestions and I hope the developer will still look into the problem or occurrence happening to others. I lost most of the afternoon because of it!

If the problem is solved using the techniques we suggested,then the problem was basically the keyboard and not the game itself. Because if the game caused this problem,then it would have persisted irrespective of the tactics you apply.

I had NOT used any of the suggestions as I said in my previous post. Now, this morning, the problem has arisen again! The cast has changed, as I have added Rufus to the team, and I am on the bridge with no 'down' arrow key working. This is a "brand new" (3 days old) computer and keyboard (all the keys work in other applications) running Windows7 Ultimate.I wrote to Jim Fox and here is our correspondence:

I’m several hours into the game, have cleared the tech area and when I entered the mountains to go to the new area (forget it’s name) my directional (up & down) no longer work to control Bolt and he was walking/running without my being able to control him. What’s happened? I just bought the full game this morning and this is very disappointing. Have a NEW computer running Windows Ultimate and when I installed the game it said I have more than enough to play it. I have attempted to start the game over again and still the same directional keys don’t work in the game. They do work outside of the game!
A timely replay will be greatly appreciated.

I am not entirely sure why that is happening. None of our beta testers had these kind of issues.
It may have something to do with that particular operating system.

I'm now going to take Rufus out of the team and see it that is the reason for this glitch. I've finished the Fire temple and Reynold said the guy in the gypsy camp had another amulet, but all he said was he had given me an amulet already (it was the fire amulet) and so I decided to change the team and acquire some experience of Rufus (I had previously added Beagar and no glitch then). I was expecting the "ice" amulet, but perhaps I should go to the ice temple first. I haven't obviously tried that yet.
I'm going to try my thoughts first about Rufus and will report back. The suggestion about hitting the opposite key from the direction that is "stuck" didn't work and thus I may have to reboot the computer. I'll try all ideas until one works and report back.
Sorry this post is so long, but I felt maybe it may help others IF they have the same problem!
