While not as deep or intricate as Lilly and Sasha (another game from John Wizard games), this one is still a lot of fun. Unique in its gameplay (what a shock, John Wizard games being different

), this little gem will offer a nice change of pace for a gamer and still packs in the witty humor and great dialogue that one expects from this indie developer. As noted, the gameplay is very different and may take a little time to get used to for some. The focus is on Jack, a character tasked in fixing problems in various "other" worlds (accessed through a hub world and various portals) and using different masks to aid his quest (think Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask). Each world is very different and each mask grants Jack a new ability when worn. The game also alters the health, level power ups, and battle standards that we all have come to know. Health is found in the form of hearts that can be collected throughout the game and are shown in a display at the top right of the game screen while attack and defense strengths are increased by collecting blade and shield icons also collected throughout the game and shown in the in-game menu. And, as for the battles, the are all in the form of Simon Seize like mini games. First an enemy will engage you in battle, then you'll watch as a series of color coated taps with different sounds activate (and drain some of your health) and you'll repeat the sequence. If you're right, then you get to select from 3 or 4 options: weak attack (least damage but charges the other 2), strong attack (does a lot of damage more when higher charged), and heal (does damage and heals your character doing more again when further charged). The 4th tab appears when an enemy's health enters a purple section and needs to be pressed in order finish a bad guy off completely, even if the said enemy is already at zero health. Overall, the battles can get a little monotonous and sometimes a little boring, and yes the game doesn't have the amazing puzzles that area challenging yet doable. Also, the game isn't as long or in-depth as the other games from this developer. All that said, the game is really worth the price for what it offers. It offers a light and fun diversion for a good price that will make you smile and maybe laugh a little and fill in the void until John Wizard games releases there next L&S game. So, why not give this one a try and I promise you won't be disappointed, especially with the ending
