Aveyond Gates of Night-Reflections after playing the game

by over_cloud9 » Mon Dec 07, 2009 6:39 am

:wel: Welcome to the reviews of Aveyond Gates of Night! It is better than Lords of Twilight(LoT) as it allowed the user to complete a part of the Magic Orb series continued from LoT.I guess an in-game help as to how to import the saved game data from LoT to GoN(Gates of Night) should have been included. It confuses players new to RPG.I expected a bit more challenge and surprise at the end for the boss fight like in Aveyond 2;it would also have been better if inter-mediate bosses were included like the transfigurine ones in Aveyond 2.Anywaz,I guess I just couldn’t get over Aveyond 2 This game also deserves some credits of calling it one of the famous Amaranthian series.Well you just need to play it to get the feel of the game. However here at the end I was spoilt for choices as to who should Edward marry!while most may choose either of Mel or Lydia, choosing Stella was an interesting option as it changed a bit of game ending. For those who don’t want any of their characters die,its best to choose Stella. The goodies,as usual, makes the game a piece of cake walk-shouldn’t be opted if you are playing the game for the first time.

This game is better than it's predecessor because we actually can finally clear things here and explore the more dangerous areas.

In this one, we can finally choose a wife for Edward. Mel and Lydia have the more obvious and general endings but Stella, which is the most unlikely pair for Edward, is the most practical ending because you would be able to save all characters with her alive.

The character twist was unexpected and took me by surprise, as well as Mel being kidnapped. For some reason, I didn't expect her to be kidnapped. Or that Stella was working for the bad guys. And that my favourite vampire and her husband were turned back to human.

i liked the game too!the story was interesting as usual but i did'nt liked the style of fighting here......too slow fight,it is to be continued and will be released in parts. it's next part will orb of life.the story was totally different and i liked teijal and galahad.it had different endings which did'nt liked too much.it would be better if if it had one ending.i totally did not expected stella to die in the end.it was quite surprising that teijal and galahad had turned ino a human from a vampire.the graphics was not bad.in one word the game is good. ;)

The game was really cool.Story was making me like a cake. The game was amazing though. But I say it wasn't any better then LoT. LoT had a more engagins story. And there were a lot of maps in GoN but all of them were simple.Really simple. I really expected Stella to be a spy.But my favourite part was my favourite knight and his wife turning into human! YAY! At least Galahad and Tei'jal are human.
