Deadly Sin-Reflections after playing the game

:wel: Welcome to the reviews of Deadly Sin!When I started playing the game,I was confused as to in which engine it was made- RPG maker XP or VX.The developer has used the best of RPGMXP and VX to present us a different kind of gameplay. What’s worth noticing is the battle scene where each character movement is shown in animation from behind. Also each battle can be fought by a maximum of five characters, unlike what normal RPG games allow to do.The characters strikes the enemies one at a time unlike in most RPGs where you set what all characters does in the battle and then their attacking commence. Also the skill set can be manually selected and does not depend on leveling up.So I can select advanced lock picking skill early in the game instead of leveling up till I reach some particular level that enables this skill. Also there’s a crystal system which if you deactivate will clean the dungeon of enemies,so that peace-loving people like me who hate fighting at every encounter are left happy exploring the goodies! :) The MP of party members increase at every turn (even when other party members are using their turns). There’s a new concept of OV and EN which acts like MP but the properties are entirely different. However, the bad part is that you can’t replenish your party’s MP during fights. And the boss fights are looooooong (may be because I opted to avoid the foes by deactivating the crystals at each dungeon,so couldn’t level up much to be ready enough to face the boss). The enemy names aren’t there in the battle scenes of earlier versions, but available in V1.31.Fleeing encounters took away gold everytime,so a player is forced to fight in order to preserve the gold.Though the story was quite engaging, there are no side quests to unwind amidst the serious overtone of the plot. Also the story-telling could have been better because some parts could not be interpreted(That’s the difficulty with me,though I don’t know what others have got to say about it). However I liked the level up and skill acquiring shortcut via the Indigo mage! The chests and puzzles are quite rewarding and kept me hooked on to the game for at a stretch of 6 hours at a time.In general, the game is appreciable and worth replaying except for some adult dialogues in it.
