About Over Cloud 9

Who we are: Over Cloud 9 is the ultimate destination for players who love computer Role Playing Games (RPG). We offer computer RPGs, free walkthroughs, official strategy guides, game help, game developer tools, beta testers and many other products and features pertaining to RPGs. Over Cloud 9 is a sole proprietorship company based in Kolkata, India and is founded by Moumita Paul.

An RPG is a refreshing change from the usual adventure, puzzle, strategy or match three games because these games contain games within games. Yes! Each RPG is different and has different flavors of entertainment, featuring puzzles, battles, adventure, match three and other elements in each yet retaining the independence of the RPGaming. Here you’ll find all kinds of RPGs for your PC ranging from sharewares, freewares and even online games. Mac, linux or console type RPGs are not yet added in our collection as it is difficult providing support for these platforms at this point. But we are planning of introducing it in near future.

Our Mission: Customer satisfaction is extremely important for us. We treat every customer and his/her needs or queries specially with care and do our best in every way to gift them an awesome gaming experience. We strongly believe that our happy customers will help us grow which in turn would help us bring in more products and introduce newer features to cater all their gaming needs. We also like promoting the indie developers by providing a popular platform to showcase their products (read games that are lovingly hand-crafted). So summing it up, we form a healthy and happy medium between the developers and the customers so that both derive what they need easily.

History:

Originally, Over Cloud 9 was started in a very simple way  to list only RPG walkthroughs by it’s founder Moumita Paul ( aka over_cloud9 ). She had been developing small game prototypes, helping in game design of her developer friends from 2007-2008. Her first blog on RPG walkthroughs was posted at wordpress.com.  That was then moved to this site on the 7th of December 2009 owing to it’s success and considering the gamut of features it could offer to players and indie developers.
Being an RPG addict, Moumita found that most these games didn’t have a comprehensive game guide to consult when the players get stuck while playing, didn’t have any dedicated forums to discuss these computer RPGs only and other difficulties. Also there aren’t many sites where only computer RPGs are featured specially as a niche genre. Most game portals provided a multitude of both hardcore and casual games together. This is suicidal for this particular genre of games as RPGs are different from the rest of the lot and are lost in a sea of match-three, hidden objects, puzzles, mahjong and other types of games. This is where Over Cloud 9 came into the picture. You can download newer RPGs to play every week, get free guides on them, seek help in our forums, beta test upcoming games, share your reviews on games and do much more!

We later extended our services to include tools that can help indie RPG developers to get a good platform to promote their games. Our focus always lay on happiness of our end users, be it the developer or the customer!

Your contribution: Keeping in mind the growing need of role playing game resources, we thought of including some more gaming resources in this site other than only games and walkthroughs…and we kept adding newer resources. Various casual RPGs playable in PC are added every week and now we also have our home production of games on roll. Over Cloud 9 is always on the look out of fresh ideas, new features and possibilities. We would also love to hear your recommendations if you find anything that can be added as a resource here.
