Eternal Eden-Reflections after playing the game

by over_cloud9 » Mon Dec 07, 2009 6:45 am

:wel: Welcome to the reviews of Eternal Eden! The graphics are awesome,a blessing of RPGmakerVX along with the developers hard efforts.I’ve seen very few casual RPG games that sport puzzles in the game, but this one has it all. Each puzzle was challenging and called for careful observation and thought.I guess the music could have been better and the begining of the story appeared a bit childish. However while playing it unveiled darker plots.I’m still confused as to the existence of Downey and whether Jean is a guy or a girl(though the forum said he is a guy) ;) The hall of treasures were an added bonus to explore all the dungeons throughly. And the best part was the player need not level up separately to face the boss,if you kill all the foes in any dungeon it automatically prepares you to face the boss.Infact there are NO random encounters and the enemies don’t respawn after death. The various switching over modes, like dark world to the world of light and Joelle’s weather changing songs were refreshing from other RPGs where the game progress is monotonic along with the quests. The turtle hunting was also a good in-between-the-game.But the rewards could have been better.Anywaz its a good game for those who are new to RPG as the game controls are simple and the in-game tutorials are helpful.Expecting a bit more of a challenge in EE2.

I agree with rifle. On my first playthrough I didn't killed all monsters and when I faced Last boss I was around 50-60 levels.Thank god I could beat him.On my second playthrough I killed all monsters and I was LVL 99 when I faced the last boss it was piece of cake.
